Robert Lee Robertson was born November 15, 1957 to the late Robert Robertson, Jr. and Bennie Lee Easter. He departed this life Sunday, May 3, 2026 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Robert Lee accepted Christ early in life, becoming a member of McGehee Chapel under the leadership of Reverend Minor Coleman. Later in life, Robert made First Baptist in Arkansas City, Arkansas his church home where he was a faithful member until he was granted rest on May 3, 2026. Robert also served as the Patron of Companion Lodge 217 for over ten years until his health battles no longer allowed. He was a member of Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Arkansas approximately 40 years.
Robert dabbled in many things in his adult life from pipelines to the cable company where he earned the nickname “The Cable Guy”, and then Arkansas Department of Corrections where he retired as a Correctional Officer. Beyond wearing uniforms, in Robert’s spare time he was big on attending church, spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing and riding ATVs (all terrain vehicles).
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter -Tara Elaine Robertson, his brothers- Clyde Davis, Sr. and Tyrone Johnson, his sisters- Shirley Richardson, Sheila Robertson, Georgina and Rosie Johnson, brother in laws- Clois Bryant, Darryl Bryant, and Laster Wilson.
Robert leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted wife and trash talking partner, Rita Robertson, who he vowed to love until death do them part August 22, 1987. In addition, six daughters, LaDonnya Smith of Maumelle, Arkansas, Lashunda (Nathaniel) Calvin of Bryant, Arkansas, Paris Robertson of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Kovosha Mosby, Gloria Norman of Arkansas City, Arkansas and Tyra Thomas of Conway, Arkansas. Five sisters, Barbara Daugherty of Elkridge, Maryland, Arletha (Marion) Tackett and Glory (Shelby) Slater of Dumas, Arkansas, Johnnie Faye Robertson-Isom of Forrest City, Arkansas, Amy Johnson of Little Rock, Arkansas and God-Sister Vicky Johnson. Four brothers, Johnny Ray Robertson of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Terry Robertson of McGehee, Arkansas, Donnell Robertson of Brickeys, Arkansas, and Ricky Robertson of Joplin, Missouri. William (Carrie) Bryant of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Artris (Joyce) Bryant of Arkansas City, Arkansas, Sandra Horn of Tennessee and Shirley (Paul) Smith of Tillar, Arkansas; seventeen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. A plethora of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends whom he loved dearly.
