James William Myrick, 79, of Star City, Arkansas passed away Monday, May 4, 2026, at Baptist Health- Drew County. He was born in Star City on March 13, 1947, to the late Benjamin and Opal Witt Myrick.
James was a member of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Palmyra, Arkansas. He enjoyed doing carpenter work and working with his hands. He was a simple man and enjoyed being at home. James served in the US Army.
Also, preceding him in death were his grandchild, Jonathan Cochran.
Survivors include one son, Benjamin Richard Myrick II of Pine Bluff, one daughter, Sonya Lindsey (Troy) of Star City, one sister, Margaret Collins, of Star City, three grandchildren; Michael Myrick, Michelle Myrick, Paige Myrick, and one great grandchild, Skyler Myrick.
Visitation will be Friday, May 8, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Griffin Funeral Service. Graveside Services will follow at 1:30 PM at Hickory Grove Cemetery with Bro. David Harrington officiating. Pallbearers are Larry Brock, Danny Brock, Jerry Brock, Charles Clark, John Anderson, and Darren Collins.
