1940-2026
With deep sorrow and enduring love, we announce the passing of a devoted husband, father, and proud United States Marine, Billy Haven Jenkins, who left this world on April 18, 2026 at the age of 85.
Born on July 23, 1940 in Banks, Arkansas, to Bill and Gladys Dirman Jenkins. Billy lived a life defined by honor, courage, and commitment. He answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps, where he embodied the values of discipline, loyalty, and sacrifice. During his years of service, he earned the respect of his fellow Marines and carried the title with pride long after his time in uniform ended. After his military journey, he worked for the Pine Bluff Fire Department and he retired from Arkansas Printing.
Beyond his military service, Billy was a man of deep character and quiet strength. He was known for his unwavering dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether sharing stories, offering advice, or simply being present, he made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
He lived his life the way he loved best—outdoors, unhurried, and full of quiet adventure. Whether it was the stillness of a hunting morning, the gentle rhythm of casting a line into open water, or the anticipation of setting out on a new journey, he found peace and purpose in the world around him. Billy was blessed to take several road trips with family visiting all 50 states and also enjoyed the ocean breeze on cruises that he enjoyed with his wife Martha. He treasured the moments spent surrounded by family and friends. His laughter, wisdom, and steady presence will be deeply missed.
Billy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Martha; his daughter Melissa, grandson Phillip Duncan, granddaughter Jessica Menotti and great-grandson Grayson Menotti, and many other loving family members and friends who will carry his memory forward with pride.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Gene Jenkins and Bobby Jenkins; and son -in-law, Eugene Duncan.
A service to honor his life and legacy will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Robinson & Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel with military honors to commemorate his service to our nation. Visitation will be Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Robinson and Fuller.
