1946-2026
Samuel Dobbs entered this world on January 28, 1946, in Dumas, Arkansas, to the late Lena Harris and Luddie Dobbs. He peacefully slept away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Trinity Village Nursing Facility in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Sam accepted Christ at an early age. He was a faithful member of the Mt. Moriah church in Dumas, Arkansas, under the leadership of Rev. J.L. Morton until his health started failing him. Sam received his education through the Wells Bayou School District. He dedicated over 50 years to pouring concrete across the United States. He took great joy and pride in pouring concrete. When you couldn’t find him working, he was most definitely somewhere fishing. He found great joy in the company of many dear friends, and his absence will be missed deeply. Sam is preceded in death by his parents, his wife (Carrie Dobbs), brothers, Clarence Dobbs, Vennice Harris, Willie Dobbs. Nathaniel Dobbs, Williams Dobbs
Sam leaves to cherish his memory, (3) daughters Linda Dobbs of Dumas, Arkansas, Tina Allen of Conway Arkansas, and Sibeye Jackson of Pine Bluff, AR. (7) grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren. A Host of Nieces and Nephews along with a (special friend), Mrs. Patricia Baker.
Sam also leaves to cherish his memory, (5) sisters, Geneva Robinson, Classie Durarte, Dorothy Mae, Aretha Scott, and Helen Wilson, (6) brothers Mitchell Harris, Conneluis, Charles, Walter, Luddie Jr., Robert and Tomorris Dobbs.
