Arkansas State baseball has achieved a new milestone, earning its first-ever spot in Baseball America’s Top 25. The Red Wolves debuted at No. 22 in the Week 6 poll after a standout 3-1 week, highlighted by a midweek win at Little Rock and a series victory over No. 7 Southern Miss to kick off Sun Belt Conference play.

This marks a significant achievement for the program, as Arkansas State is one of only two Sun Belt teams featured in the rankings. The Red Wolves’ recent success has also garnered them national attention in multiple polls. They appeared in the “also considered” category by Perfect Game and picked up votes in both the USA Today Coaches Poll and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll.

This is Arkansas State’s first appearance in Baseball America’s Top 25 and its first national recognition in a major poll since 2019, when the Red Wolves were ranked No. 29 in Collegiate Baseball’s Top 30. The program’s highest-ever ranking came in 1970 with a No. 24 finish in Collegiate Baseball’s final poll.

Looking to build on this momentum, Arkansas State will travel to Atlanta to face Georgia State for its second weekend of conference play. The series opener is scheduled for March 20 with first pitch at 4 p.m. CST.
