1941-2026
Jo Ann James passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She was born to the late Ben T. Nutt and Ellene Vent Nutt on September 4, 1941. She married Jesse Bud James.
She worked as a cook at Picnicker Grady. She then began her career in housekeeping for Admiral Hotel, where she retired from. Jo Ann loved fishing any chance she had. Spending time with family was important to her and it was her favorite pass time.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Bud James; daughter, Sherry Lynn James; and two brothers, Jimmy Nutt and Billy Nutt.
Jo Ann is survived by a sister, Molly Reed of Florida; her two children, Mickey James (Dawn) and Robin Mullins (Mark); four grandchildren, Jesse James (Sira), Ashley James (Corey Smithwick), Zack Doolin (Jennifer), James Mullins; and five great grandchildren, Jeramiah Temple, Olivia Burriss, Ricky Doolin, Preston Danzy and Ethan Mullins.
Services will be determined at a later date.
Arrangements were by Robinson and Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel.
