Merline Moreland, 94 of Watson, Arkansas passed away February 13, 2026. She was born in Lonoke, Arkansas on July 12, 1931, the daughter of the late Willard and Omey Howard. Her parents and beloved husband James “Pete” Moreland, son Jimmy Moreland, two brothers, two granddaughters Tammie and Carmen Moreland, all preceded her in death.
Mrs. Moreland was a member of the Watson Baptist church. She was a homemaker, and she enjoyed painting, planting and tending to her flower garden.
Survivors are son Doyan (Sarah) Moreland of Watson, Arkansas and seven grandchildren; Ashlie (Ryan) Gill, Cody (Anna) Moreland, Morgan Lewis, Trapper (Anna) Moreland, Dakota Moreland, Alexis Robinson and Buddy Morgan, and fourteen great grandchildren.
Visitation and services at Griffin Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, visitation from 1:00-2:00pm, with services following at 2:00pm, with Rev. Roger Pierce officiating with burial in Watson Cemetery.
