Kathryn Merlene Holstead, 72, of Star City passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at UAMS in Little Rock. She was born June 12, 1953, to the late Joe and June Powell Bratton in Dumas, AR.
Kathryn was a member of Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She loved fishing, gardening, growing flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were one brother, Ricky Bratton Sr and a daughter in law, Maranda Holstead.
Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, James Holstead, three sons; Wade Holstead (Lynn), Justin Holstead (Destiany) both of Star City, and Joe Holstead (Delaine) of North Little Rock, one daughter, Carrie Harvill (Terry) of Pine bluff, ten grandchildren; Katie Fromal, Coty Fromal, Dillon Holstead (Felicia), Michael Holstead, Mylynn Holstead, Hannah Welch, Kaylin Holstead, Rae Holstead, Drake Holstead, Audrey Holstead, and eleven great-grandchildren.
