Glenda Ruth Appleberry Austin was born on July 17, 1938, and passed away peacefully at her home on January 21, 2026. A woman of faith, Glenda trusted the Lord throughout her life and found strength and peace in His promises.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie and Jesse Appleberry; her beloved husband, Eustis Austin; her son, Jimmy Howard, Jr.; her brothers, Hardy Appleberry and Minter Appleberry; a bonus son, Johnny Courson, a grandson, John Sam Gill and twin infant great-grandsons.
Glenda is survived by her daughter, Teresa Howard Dunn (Lee); her daughter-in-love, Wanda Harrelson Howard (Jimmy); bonus daughters Nancy(Danny) Wells, Terri (Dale) Williams, Becca (Kirby) McElroy; bonus son Tommy (Marie) Austin grandchildren, Eric Howard (Candace), Dr. Dustin Howard (Chelsea), Jesse Dunn (Amy), and Katy Beth Dunn; bonus grandchildren Daniel Williams, Dylan Wells, TJ Austin, Megan Austin,Blake Williams, Blaine Williams,Seth McElroy and Kane McElroy; great-grandchildren, Audrey Howard, Stella Howard, Fallon Howard, Marley Howard, Haisleigh Dunn and Parker Dunn.bonus great grandchildren John Williams, Easton Wells, Rhett Wells, Gavin Austin, Madeline Austin, Jarrett Austin, Anna Williams, Briar Williams, Jade McEltoy, Erin McElroy and Carson McElroy.
Glenda’s life was a testimony of love, devotion, and faith. While she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she rests in the loving arms of her Savior.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the McGehee Cemetery Pavilion, with Mr. Frank Evans officiating.
