Lady Lions Struggle on the Road Falling to TSU 80-57

Houston, TX The Arkansas-Pine Bluff Lady Lions endured a tough afternoon at Texas Southern on Saturday, falling 80–57 in Southwestern Athletic Conference women’s basketball action.

The Lady Lions (4–10, 1–3 SWAC) struggled to find offensive rhythm throughout the contest, trailing in all four quarters. Arkansas-Pine Bluff managed just 12 first-quarter points, while Texas Southern poured in 22 to seize early command. By halftime, the Lady Tigers had built a comfortable lead and never looked back.

Texas Southern’s balanced attack kept the Lady Lions at bay, with several Tigers stepping up to pad the lead in the middle quarters. UAPB battled hard in the fourth, but could not overcome the deficit established earlier in the game.

For the Lady Lions, Jasmine Davis led the scoring with 21 points, showcasing resilience despite the loss. Teammates contributed efforts on the boards and defensive end, but turnovers and shooting struggles proved costly in key stretches.
