1945-2025
Jimmy Lee Tipton, 80, of Star City passed away Monday December 29, 2025, at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. He was born in Carlisle, AR on May 12, 1945, to the late Aubra and Elsie Bronson Tipton.
Jimmy was a member of the First Fee Will Baptist Church in Star City, and former member of the American Legion. He loved doing woodwork and tinkering with things. He was an Army Vietnam Veteran and later retired from Coleman Dairy.
Preceding him in death were his two brothers, Melvin and Joe Tipton and one sister, Glenda Joyce Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Tipton of Star City, a son, Tim Tipton (Wendy) of Harlem, GA, a daughter, Kayla Tipton Wooley (Kevin) of Vilonia, two brothers, James Tipton (Betty) of Stuttgart and Shelby Tipton (Melody) of Jacksonville, seven grandchildren, Thomas Trey Tipton, Kaylee Tipton, Courtney Tipton, Emmalee Wooley, Meghan Shipp (Corbin), Chiemi Taylor, Randi Crosby (Ryan), and two great-grandchildren, Danika Ronsse and Makenna Ronsse.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 2, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Griffin Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Tim Forman officiating. Burial will be held at Palmyra Cemetery. Pallbearers are Trey Tipton, Eddie Bronson, Cole Bronson, Jason Smith, Brad Tipton, and Martis Tipton.
