1927-2025
Thelma Marie Grady Cantrell 98 of Dumas, AR passed away December 26, 2025, in Dumas with her family by her side. She was born June 6, 1927, in Roseville, AR to the late Noah Francis and Ocie Bell Luman Grady. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents and husband, William “Bill” Martin Cantrell, daughter, Jo Ann Moreland, son, Jimmy Cantrell, grandson, Larry Eugene Cantrell, Jr., four sisters, Velta Posey, Maureen Franklin, Bobbie Jean Irons and Betty Sue Robinson.
Thelma was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and was the manager for Brownie’s and Delta Dip for 20 years. Her favorite past time was gardening and working in flowers to make her yard look beautiful. As well as tending to her farm animals, in which she enjoyed to the fullest. She also loved playing cards with her family and friends. When you saw her, she was always smiling and laughing. She loved her family fiercely and enjoyed every second spent with them. Thelma was loved by all that came in contact with her. She loved taking care of her friends while she was at Assisted Living.
Survivors are one son, Larry Eugene (Sharon) Cantrell, Sr, Dumas, AR, one daughter, Debbie (Anthony) Sullivan, Monticello, AR, one sister, Geneva Waymack, Benton, AR, seven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 1:00-2:00 pm at Abundant Life Worship Center with service to follow at 2:00pm. Burial will be at Walnut Lake Cemetery with Rev. Bill McGinnis officiating.
