Jimmy Davenport, 79
1946-2025

James M. Davenport, 79, of White Hall, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 22, 2025.

He was born on November 21, 1946, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Alvin Perry and Mary Sue Langford Davenport.

He worked for Hall Oxygen for 45 years as Vice President. Jimmy was always ready to help anyone and enjoyed catching up with what was going on.

He was an avid Razorback fan, and loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his, daughters, Regina Brooks (Steve), Michelle Gonzales (Mauro); son, Jimbo Davenport (Amanda); stepchildren, Reverend John Cope (Teresa), Donny Cope (Debbie), Steve Cope; sixteen grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; his bestie, Tilly; brother, Roger Davenport (Billie Jean); sister, Becky Tanner; sister-in-law, Donna Hall; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Laura Ann Cope Davenport; his parents; daughter, Tammy Smith; and sister, Linda Ray.

Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, December 27, 2025, Robinson & Fuller White Hall with Reverend John Cope officiating. The service will be livestreamed for anyone unable to attend. Burial will follow in White Hall United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 P.M., Friday, December 26, 2025, at the funeral home.
