1939-2025
Roscoe Fredric Terrall was born December 20, 1939, to the late Percy George Terrall Sr. and Mary Etta Pierce Terrall in Winchester, Arkansas. He is the grandson of the late Lloyd and Cassie Manuel Pierce McCraney, “Big Mama”.
Roscoe transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home, Sunday, November 30, 2025, at JRMC in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He received his education at Missouri Street, Indiana Street, Merrill High, and Southeast High School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was an outstanding football player and a “cool dude”.
He accepted Christ in his youth and was baptized in Taylor Lake by the late Reverend Albert King.
After high school, Roscoe relocated to Chicago, Illinois, where he worked various jobs. He worked many years in a steel mill. He was a good cook and received outstanding awards as a restaurant chef, especially for his chitterlings and greens.
Upon returning home in 2002, he gladly prepared his famous greens for the Pierce Thanksgiving Gathering for 26 years at the Morton’s home. After being home for several years, he reunited with the New Saint Hurricane Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Lorenzo Jones, III and he also served under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Derick Easter as a greeter and a member of the New St. Hurricane Male Choir until the time of his passing. He loved the Lord, his family, and his church.
He will be missed and remembered for his joyful saying, “You’d Better Believe It!” and “Right On”. Roscoe was a devoted fan of the UAPB Golden Lions, The Chicago Bears, and a faithful attendee of the Southeast High School class reunion. He was preceded in death by five brothers: Percy George Terrall, Jr., Harold Scott Terrall, Theotis Terrall, Eugene Terrall, and Herschel F. Terrall and three sisters: Doris Terrall Caldwell, and twin sisters: Dora Jean Terrall Lewis and Dorothy Jean Terrall Lasley.
