A woman was injured Monday afternoon during a domestic disturbance at the Southeast Apartments in Pine Bluff, according to the Pine Bluff Police Department.
Detectives say the incident occurred during an argument between De’Marcus Goal and his girlfriend. During the dispute, Goal allegedly tried to take a gun from the woman’s waistband, and the firearm accidentally discharged, striking her once.
The woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated following the incident.
Goal was taken into custody and has been charged with second-degree battery.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
