The Rison Wildcats pulled off an incredible rally after falling behind 20-0 to Drew Central in the first half. Refusing to fold, Rison stormed back behind a relentless ground game and clutch defensive stops, ultimately taking a 44-38 victory in a thrilling finish. The comeback win keeps Rison’s playoff hopes alive and showed the team’s grit under pressure.
Meanwhile, the shocker of the night came from Lake Village, where the Lakeside Beavers knocked off powerhouse Fordyce, 21-6. The Redbugs entered the matchup as heavy favorites, but with several key players out with injuries. Lakeside, who also reported starters out with injuries, controlled the game sealing one of the biggest upsets of the season.
