Arkansas officials are encouraging residents to safely and anonymously dispose of unused or unwanted medications during the state’s annual Drug Take Back Day on Friday, Oct. 25. The event is part of a statewide effort to prevent prescription drug misuse, accidental poisonings, and environmental contamination by providing secure disposal options. Law enforcement agencies across Arkansas will set up temporary collection sites on Take Back Day, supplementing the more than 300 permanent drop boxes located at police departments, sheriff’s offices, and participating pharmacies throughout the state.
