Week 5 of high school football saw plenty of action across the Deltaplex area, including a thrilling 3A showdown between Dumas and Rison. The Bobcats edged the Wildcats 40-34 in one of the most competitive games of the night, keeping themselves in the mix as conference play heats up.
Elsewhere, Jonesboro outlasted Sheridan 48-42 in a high-scoring battle, while Maumelle slowed down Pine Bluff in a 21-7 victory. Searcy rolled past Watson Chapel 56-12.
In 4A matchups, Stuttgart continued its strong run with a 58-20 win over Crossett, and Warren slipped past rival Monticello 27-23. DeWitt also turned in a dominant 42-16 victory over Star City.
In the lower classifications, England defeated Hazen 40-28, Fordyce blanked Drew Central 46-0, McGehee handled Lakeside 44-8, and Hampton topped Poyen 46-28.
