Arkansas State baseball head coach Mike Silva has announced the addition of four new signees to the Red Wolves’ 2026 roster, enhancing the team with talent from across the nation. The newcomers include left-handed pitcher Ryan Ashford, right-handed pitchers James Trimble and Houston Tomlinson, and two-way player Cole Manuel.
Ryan Ashford transfers from the University of Miami. As a freshman at Miami, he made four appearances, allowing just one earned run on four hits. In high school, Ashford was a three-time all-conference selection and earned First Team All-Orlando Area honors in 2024, achieving a 0.89 ERA with 70 strikeouts and setting a school record with 12 wins in his senior year.
James Trimble, having played at Louisiana, Alvin Community College, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, joins after striking out 16 batters in 11 appearances for the Ragin’ Cajuns in 2025. He started his collegiate career at TAMU-CC in 2023 and was a standout at Ball High School in Galveston, Texas, where he earned First Team All-League and All-District honors.
Cole Manuel arrives from Jones College in Mississippi, where he had a productive career as a catcher and infielder, making 100 appearances and 89 starts. He recorded a .295/.465/.421 slash line with 63 RBIs and six home runs. On the mound, Manuel posted a 2.84 ERA with 18 strikeouts over 19 innings.
Houston Tomlinson transfers after his freshman year at Texas A&M. He was ranked 22nd in Prep Baseball’s 2024 Texas class and contributed to Grand Oaks High School’s playoff run before joining Texas A&M.
These new additions complement the 2025 A-State recruiting class, which features players from high schools, junior colleges, and Division I programs nationwide, including:
