Arkansas State University has appointed Chris Pezman as its new Vice Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics. Dr. Todd Shields, ASU Chancellor, highlighted Pezman’s extensive experience and national reputation in the field of athletics administration.
Pezman, who has over 30 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry, most recently served at the University of Houston. During his tenure there, he led significant achievements, including the university’s entry into the Big 12 Conference and numerous conference championships.
Pezman is recognized for his successful “Houston Rise” capital campaign, which raised funds for major facility upgrades. His past roles also include administrative positions at the University of California-Berkeley and executive management at Houston’s Reliant Park.
