There’s a Nineteenth Century Pottery Industry Gallery Talk in Fordyce Friday. Dr. Mary Beth Trubitt (Arkansas Archeological Survey-Henderson State University Research Station) will present a gallery talk on the stoneware industry Friday at 11am at the Dallas County Museum. It’s free and Open to the public. The talk will center on the stoneware industry that developed in the mid-nineteenth century near Princeton and Tulip in Dallas County. The talk will be highlighted by examples in the museum of pottery from the Bird, Welch, and Womack kilns.
