UAPB Soccer Grabs Road Win Over Mississippi Valley State 3-1
ITTA BENA, MS – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s soccer team grabbed a 3-1 victory over Mississippi Valley State Sunday on the road at MVSU Soccer Field.
The victory improved the Lady Lions to 4-2-0 in SWAC action.
How it Happened
UAPB started the scoring when Madison Hernandez recorded her seventh goal of the season in the second minute.
The Lady Lions increased their lead to 2-0 on a goal from Iyanah Hicks — her eighth goal of the season — in the 50th minute.
UAPB made it a 3-0 advantage on Ashley Mcguire’s 78th-minute goal, her third of the season.
The Delta Devilettes made it a 3-1 match with an 84th-minute goal, but the Lady Lions would hold off for the win.
