Cardi B has kept fans entertained with singles and guest verses, but it’s been five years since she released her debut album. In a recent Instagram Live, however, she said her next project is on its way.
Seemingly directed toward a friend who was watching the livestream, Cardi said, “You gotta listen to my single. You gotta come and listen to my single.”
“I know, I know, I know I been frontin’, but it’s because my mind has been going crazy b****, ’cause you know, I be everywhere, but you gotta come listen,” the rapper continued. She then discussed her sophomore effort, telling viewers, “This album is coming, OK.”
She previously attributed the delay to anxiety, lack of satisfaction and her other sources of income.
“I’ve been having a lot of anxiety because I know right after I drop my album, I have to go out on tour, and I have bad separation anxiety from my kids. When it comes to music and everything, I just be feeling like I don’t be liking anything,” Cardi once said. “I feel like I got so many songs, and I don’t like anything. I feel like nothing is good enough … And I got so much money saved up I just be like, ‘Yeah, whatever the f***.’”
