Washington has collected All-American honors twice during his career as a Weevil, but this is his first nod to a preseason All-American list. Following the 2018 and 2019 season he earned a selection to the Don Hansen All-American team.
The Shreveport, Louisiana native returns to UAM for his final season after leading proving to be one of Weevils’ best receiving threats in 2019. He finished the year with 39 receptions and a team-high seven receiving touchdowns. Washington also led UAM with 626 receiving yards while averaging 62.6 yards per game and 16.1 yards per catch.
Only two other GAC members received the honor from D2Football.com as Henderson State’s L’liott Curry was named to the first team offense and Harding’s Cole Chancey landed on the second team offense with Washington.
