Deltaplex News has learned of a fatality that occurred Monday morning at Planters Cotton Oil Mill.
Radio station staff witnessed two fire trucks and an ambulance in route to the facility earlier. The fatality was confirmed by Officer Richard Wegner of the Pine Bluff Police Department.
The PBPD and Crime Scene Department went out to investigate the incident, Officer Wegner said. He added that they determined that no foul play was involved.
Pine Bluff Fire Chief Shauwn Howell confirmed the report of no foul described what occurred as an “unfortunate incident” that was “strictly accidental.” He said the Jefferson County Coroner was called to the scene and more information will be released.
The name of the victim has not been revealed pending notification of family.
