A Pine Bluff man previously convicted of drug-related charges was arrested Thursday after suspected crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia were found at his residence.
Horace Hudson, 40, also has a pending drug-related case, Deputy Prosecutor Lisa McGriff said during a court hearing for Hudson Friday.
Tri-County Drug Task Force Investigator Joseph O’Neal said in a probable cause affidavit that Investigators and sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a black Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Hudson on U.S. 65 and Osborn Road, then went to Hudson’s residence at 201 Osborn Road where they served a search warrant.
McGriff said the warrant was based on a controlled purchase of crack cocaine from that residence.
Because of the pending charges, Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $25,000 cash-only bond for Hudson Friday after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hudson said he would hire his own attorney.
