A $25,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man accused of entering a burned out house and taking several items.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Antonio Fletcher with six counts of breaking or entering.

Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said on Thursday, police were sent to a house on Shirley Street where the victim reported that the house had burned Jan. 2 and she had been going back to try and recover items.

Detective Sgt.  Corey Wilfong reported on that on Dec. 9, she found the deadbolt lock damaged and items including televisions and a bicycle missing and clothes scattered in the residence.

A witness identified Fletcher as a person seen at the house and said he had bought a television from Fletcher before realizing it had belonged to the victim.

While police were on the scene, Fletcher walked by with a backpack and said it contained a computer he wanted to return to the victim, who is related to him.

West said the victim told police she did not give Fletcher permission to enter the house or to take anything.

He was told to come back to court Feb. 9.
