A $25,000 bond was set Tuesday for a man currently on probation who was arrested Saturday after he was found sleeping in a truck that had been reported stolen.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling Prosecutors have probable cause to charge Sheldon Buterbaugh, 56, with theft by receiving and possession of a controlled substance.
Reading from an affidavit from Redfield Police Detective Teri Patterson, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said Redfield offices were on Bridie Street looking for an individual who had active warrants.
Paterson reported that Buterbaugh declined to make a statement, saying he did not want to incriminate himself.
Buterbaugh is currently on probation in Washington County on drug and theft charges.
He was ordered to come back to court on Aug. 24.
