A Pine Bluff man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly pointed a gun at relatives and threatened to kill them.

Cedric Johnson, 50, is also accused of pushing a relative down the stairs on a residence on South Oak Street at about 10 p.m.

Reading from an affidavit form Detective Corey Wilfong, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said police responded to a reported armed disturbance and explained the events that led to the arrest.

Carson said Johnson did not have a gun on him but a relative told police where the gun was and it was located. Because he was irate and had an odor of alcoholic beverages, no statement was taken.

Court records showed that Johnson has pending charges of second-degree domestic battery and second-degree battery and is out on bond on those charges.

Because of the pending charges, Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $15,000 cash only bond Monday after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with aggravated assault on a family or household member, terroristic threatening and third-degree domestic battery.

He was ordered to have no contact with the victims and told to come back to court Jan. 19.
