One person was killed and two others injured in a two-vehicle accident in Lincoln County Friday afternoon.
According to a preliminary report, Kathy J. Obraint, 63, of Monticello was a passenger in a 2006 Ford that was eastbound on Lincoln County Road 114 failed to stop at the intersection with Arkansas Highway 530.
The vehicle was struck on the driver’s side door by the front of a 2004 Chevrolet that was southbound on Highway 530 at the time. After impact, both vehicles left the roadway on the east side and the Ford rolled over one time.
The driver of the Ford, 66 year-old Charlotte J. Roberson and another passenger, William R. Roberson, 28, were injured and taken to a Little Rock hospital.
The accident was reported at 4:13 p.m. and the death was the 458th so far this year on the state’s highways.
