Updated Information: The Arkansas State Police have listed Kailee Curry, 18, of Warren as the driver in this accident.
One person was killed, and two others injured in a one-vehicle accident in rural Cleveland County Tuesday.
According to a preliminary report, Dakarius Davis, 21, was southbound on U.S. highway 63 when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving, and the vehicle crossed the centerline and onto the east side of the roadway before leaving the roadway and becoming airborne before hitting a tree.
The vehicle then overturned and came to rest on the east roadside.
Davis was killed and two passengers in his car, Kailee Curry, 18, and Akia Kelly, 21, both of Warren were injured and taken to Jefferson Regional Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The accident was reported at 3:05 p.m. and the death was the 290th so far this year on the state’s highways.
