Arkansas’s regular waterfowl hunting season concluded last Friday; however, youth, veterans and active military will have one more day to hunt, and that opportunity is Saturday throughout the state.

This year, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service gave the OK for veterans hunts outside of the regular allocated waterfowl hunting days, and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission went a step further, making the Veterans Hunt also open to active military personnel. Those three groups were given a December day to themselves, and they will get Feb. 8 as well.
