Land was being cleared Tuesday morning at the site of the new Chick-fil-A on U.S. Highway 63 and Interstate 530.
Ryan Watley, the CEO of Go Forward Pine Bluff, who worked with city officials to bring the restaurant to the city was on hand as heavy equipment started removing trees on the property and called Talk Back Live to talk about what was happening.
Watley went on to tell Floyd Donald that there are about 15 acres of property at the site where Chick-fil-A will locate and because it was in a flood plain, it held development back because investors were unwilling to locate in the area.
Rumors have been flying that in addition to Chick-fil-A, another recognized restaurant may also locate on the property and Donald asked Watley about that.
