Classrooms at the Woodlawn School District were sanitized last week as the district reported a number of students were out with illnesses.
According to the Cleveland County Herald, Superintendent Kevin Hancock said 30 to 50 students were absent at the Elementary School and Woodlawn High School. Basketball Coach Logan Adair reported that several of his players missed one or both of their games last week.
Hancock told the school board that while student numbers have rebounded, illnesses have started to affect the teaching staff, prompting him to have the classrooms disinfected again this week, and having them fogged last week.
