A Columbia County woman was killed Thursday when the vehicle she was driving was hit by a farm tractor.
According to a preliminary report, Shana Farrer, 53, was northbound on U.S. Highway 71 near Magnolia when the operator of a 2016 International Harvester that was traveling east on Highway 82 failed to stop at the intersection and hit the 2013 Honda Civic Farrer was driving.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident was reported at 5:17 p.m. and the death was the 358th so far this year on the state’s highways.
