A woman fleeing the Jefferson County sheriff’s office Monday died when her vehicle crashed, state police reported.
Tywanna Angel Gordon, 41, was leading deputies on a chase in a 2018 Chevrolet west on Arkansas 190 in Pine Bluff. The vehicle traveled off the roadway at Fig Street, crashed into multiple poles and flipped over about 7:50 p.m. Gordon was ejected from the vehicle and killed.
Further details on the chase were not available. Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Alicia Dorn referred questions to Arkansas State Police. Pine Bluff police says this investigation is on going.
