A reported armed disturbance at a house on West 27th Avenue Sunday resulted in the arrest of a woman who allegedly pointed a gun at a relative.

Kimberleigh Livingston, 60, was taken into custody after police were sent to the disturbance and talked to the victim.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Corey Wilfong, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West explained what the police were told.

Although the affidavit listed the victim as Livingston’s grandson, she said he is her nephew and his last name is Johnson.

Lincoln County District Judge Phillip Green, who was filling in for Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth released Livingston on her own recognizance after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge her with aggravated assault on a family or household member.

She was told to have no contact with the victim until the case was settled.

Livingston, who uses a walker, said she left California to come to Pine Bluff and help her nephew with his bills and was getting ready to go back to California when the incident occurred. She said she would stay at a relative’s in Little Rock.
