The White Hall School Board met for their monthly meeting to discuss several items on their agenda. The board approved five considerations in reference to policy updates and updates around the district.

Those considerations approved included bids for HVAC Maintenance Preventative, the ASBA Board Policy Updates, a digital sign for the high school, and the calendar for the 2023-2024 year.

In the administrative reports, the board heard updates from faculty one of those updates were on the financial report which has not changed much since the last meeting at approximately $7 million.

The board also recognized three middle school students who won the FBLA for District 3 which included Irfan Rohan for 1st place in One Minute Typing,  Lincoln Hood for 1st place in Business Ethics, Arabella Gullett for 1st place in Public Speaking, and Isabella Moltz-3rd place in Multimedia and Website Development.

During the superintendent’s report, Dr. Gary Williams highlighted that the district is celebrating Random Acts of Kindness week to celebrate the positive impact students and staff make in their homes, schools, and community through simple acts of kindness. He also mentioned that the district’s enrollment has been steady with 2,906 students.

The district still has plans underway to update the state assessment for the district which will take place this spring based on the Arkansas standards.
