WHSD approves several considerations in monthly meeting

The White Hall School Board held its monthly meeting Thursday, March 16th to consider five items on their agenda and hear a few updates from Superintendent Gary Williams.

All board members were present except Dr. Raymond Jones, and to kick off the meeting, Scott Ray gave the recognitions from the district celebrating student and district accomplishments thus far. He mentioned an art show that took place at the White Hall Community Center and four high school students participated in the Arkansas Indoor Championship for the first time.

One of the five considerations on the agenda included an update to the ASBA Board Policy and Williams explained more to the board.

That consideration was approved, along with the resolution to solidify the school choice policy update. The board also approved a resolution for the May school election to have polling sites reserved for the district.

The board went on to discuss sick leave reimbursement to provide a retention incentive and Williams explained more.

The board voted and approve the reimbursement consideration.

The last item on the agenda that needed approval was the standard base report card for K-2 which was also approved without contest.
