A White Hall woman was arrested Monday after she allegedly admitted cutting wire in a wooded area.

Mary Ellen Jacks, 58, was taken into custody after police were sent to 3108 S. Ohio St., in response to a reported alarm.

Reading from a probable cause from Detective Keith Banks, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King explained the circumstance of the arrest during a court hearing Wednesday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $5,000 bond for Jacks after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge her with theft of property.

The Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent Jack and she was told to come back to court on May 19.
