With Governor-elect Sarah Huckabee-Sanders set to take office, questions have already arisen about what direction her administration is going to do.

Of particular interest is in education, since the Pine Bluff School District is under state control with current Education Secretary Johnny Key and the state board of education calling the shots.,

White Hall School District Superintendent Gary Williams, whose district is not understate control, appeared on the Oldies 1013 morning show and was asked if the State Education Department has much of an influence on what his district does.

Morning show host Greg Horne told Williams that if Sanders replaces Key, as is the current rumor, it could have a massive effect on districts like Pine Bluff.

Because of election coverage Tuesday, Deltaplex Radio was not able to cover the regular meeting of the White Hall School Board and Williams said one of the things the board did was to vote to install a new intercom system in the high school. The current system will not interface with the system that has been installed in the new multi-purpose and fine arts building.
