The White Hall Middle School Quiz Bowl teams competed in the 5A Southeast Regional Tournament on Saturday, February 11, 2023. The White Hall Middle School consists of two teams; the 7th/8th grades team and 9th grade team. Both teams are sponsored by head coach Nita Wimberly and assistant coach Sarah Breedlove.
The tournament was hosted by the White Hall High School Quiz Bowl team and was held at the White Hall Performing Arts Center.
Other teams within our region contended with a valiant effort including: Watson Chapel Middle School, Pine Bluff Middle School, and Vilonia Middle School.
The White Hall 7th/8th grades team took the championship through round-robin matches, while the White Hall 9th grade team took second. White Hall 8th grader Lincoln Hood was named MVP of the tournament. Additionally, White Hall 8th graders Lincoln Hood and Jacob Clingan were the All-Stars of the tournament.
Both teams will take on the Arkansas Governor’s Quiz Bowl Association State Tournament on February 25, 2023, at Cossatot Community College in De Queen, AR.
