The winter weather that hit Thursday evening into the early morning hours on Friday has forced school closures and local municipalities to work on area roads.
White Hall Mayor Noel Foster spoke with Deltaplex News to discuss what his workers are doing to clear roads.
Foster said the work done to pretreat roads before the storm hit went a long way to help road crews.
Foster said that if anyone needs any essential services from City Hall someone will be on hand to answer the phone.
With temperatures dropping again overnight roads are expected to freeze again. Foster said crews will begin working on the roads Saturday morning when it is safe enough to do so.
