White Hall is putting on its annual Alva Domon Memorial Fireworks Show at the White Hall Community Center located at 9801 Dollarway Road at 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 4. This fireworks show was originally put together by the late Alva Domon. After his passing, city officials and local businesses worked together to keep the show going. Beaver Johnson, the owner of Johnson’s Metal Recycler, has helped coordinate the event. He explained the history behind the annual show.

Johnson also explained that the show usually takes place at the high school field, but with the facility currently under construction, they had to make a change this year.

The event is open to the public and they are encouraging residents to bring canned goods to donate to the White Hall Food Pantry. Johnson explained how those canned goods will be picked up.

In regards to parking to see the show, Johnson said.

The show is sponsored by the city of White Hall’s Mayor’s office, White Hall Chamber of Commerce, and several local businesses.  Deltaplex’s own Oldies 101.3 will be playing live patriotic music timed to the show starting at 9:05.  Spectators are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the show.
