Congress is getting back to work on the $1.2 trillion infrastructure plan already approved by the U.S. Senate. On Thursday, Fourth District Congressman Bruce Westerman was in Washington where he talked to Deltaplex News about the legislation.

Westerman said it is hard to comprehend how much $1.2 trillion is, much less another $3.5 trillion. The rule and budget reconciliation passed in the House of Representatives. Westerman said the next step in the process is for it to be sent to house committees to vote on various parts of it.

He also put the figure in perspective.

Westerman went on to say that the amount his committee will look at is more than the state budgets of half the states in the country.
