Westerman talks infrastructure plan; Congress main focus this week

Fourth District Congressman Bruce Westerman on Thursday was asked to comment on the $3.5 trillion dollar infrastructure plan, specifically, since the president has said that it will be paid for by increasing taxes on only those making more than $400,000.

Speaking on the Oldies 101.3 morning show, Westerman said

He said that to put that figure in perspective, the Natural Resources Committee, of which he is a member, marked up their portion of the bill which totaled $32 billion, a figure he said was more than the total budget of 27 states.

Westerman, a Republican from Hot Springs also talked about what he said was the main issue facing Congress this week.
