LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Following is the Overall Top 10 high school football teams in Arkansas and the top five in Classes 7A, 6A, 5A, 4A, 3A and 2A, as voted by a panel of sports media from around the state for the week ending September 5. Ranking is given with first-place votes received, records, total points and last week’s ranking:
The Deltaplex area is represented by several teams beginning with Pine Bluff. The Zebras are ranked 7th in Class 6A. In Class 5A the White Hall Bulldogs are ranked 5th. In Class 4A Warren is ranked 6th while Stuttgart is ranked 8th. In Class 3A Rison is ranked 5th while McGehee is ranked 10th. Finally, in Class 2A, Fordyce is ranked 1st in addition to being ranked 19th overall in the state, while Poyen is ranked 9th.
