Not only are homes and businesses affected by the low water pressure in Pine Bluff, schools can be added to the list.

The Watson Chapel School District is currently virtual only, as teachers stayed home to conduct their lessons and students tuned in remotely. Jerry Guess, the Superintendent of the district told Deltaplex News why the decision was made to go all virtual.

Guess said the district did bring some licensed and classified staff to school buildings Tuesday, including principals and councilors who are working with students and teachers. As far as how long the school will continue to operate virtually only, Guess said the decision will be made on a daily basis as more information becomes available on the water pressure situation.

“It is what it is and we have to make the best of the situation” Guess said.
