Foo Fighters joined forces with AC/DC‘s Brian Johnson to deliver a rocking performance of “Back in Black” during this past weekend’s Vax Live concert special.

Speaking to the crowd of 20,000 fully vaccinated health workers and first responders who attended the show, Foo frontman Dave Grohl declared that he wanted to make his band’s performance feel like a “special occasion.”

“So, say you wanna do something special, what do you do?” Grohl continued. “You call a friend to come play with you.”

Cue Johnson entering the stage, and cue the iconic opening chords of “Back in Black.” You can watch the collaborative performance streaming now on YouTube.

Other Vax Live performers included Pearl Jam‘s Eddie Vedder, Jennifer Lopez, H.E.R. and J Balvin. Vedder’s solo band included ex-Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.

Vax Live raised over $302 million and procured 26 million COVID-19 vaccines in an effort to “provide equitable vaccine access to the world’s most marginalized communities and health care workers in critical need of global support.”
