Foo Fighters reopened New York City’s Madison Square Garden Sunday night, and they didn’t do it alone.
The set featured a surprise cover of the Radiohead classic “Creep,” with lead vocals by none other than comedian Dave Chappelle.
“I know a few Daves, right?” frontman Dave Grohl told the crowd before introducing Chappelle. “But I gotta be honest, my favorite…Dave is here tonight to sing a song with us.”

Chappelle, by the way, hosted the Saturday Night Live episode the Foos played last fall. He also previously sang “Creep” live before alongside actor Bradley Cooper, SNL cast member Leslie Jones and Lenny Kravitz.
The MSG show, meanwhile, marked the famed arena’s first full-capacity concert back since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. Attendees were required to be fully vaccinated.
The Foos’ set also included a cover of the Bee Gees song “You Should Be Dancing,” which will be included on the band’s upcoming Record Store Day release Hail Satin. Prior to the concert, Grohl and company announced that the show would be dedicated to their late stage manager Andy Pollard, who passed away last Friday.
